Cash bash planned Jan. 18 in Harrison
Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament School, Harrison, will sponsor a Cash Bash Jan. 18 at the school Patterson Hall, 800 Montana Ave., Natrona Heights.
Doors open at 5 p.m. and drawings for cash prizes will be every 15 minutes beginning at 6 p.m. Tickets are $10 and include a dinner buffet and beverages. There will be gaming tickets and raffles. Winners need not be present. Those attending must be at least 21 years old.

Free soup luncheon set at Poke Run Church
Poke Run Presbyterian Church will have a free soup luncheon at noon Wednesday at the church, 1091 Poke Run Church Road. Doors open at 11:30 a.m.

St. Joseph High School
Alumni Networking event scheduled Wednesday
St. Joseph High School, Natrona Heights, Harrison, will host an Alumni Networking Exhibition from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the school Science and Technology Center.
The event will help students, parents, prospective parents and neighbors explore the value of a St. Joseph education. Those attending will have the chance to visit tables based on career themes and talk to alumni who are in various stages of their careers.

Rotary scholarship applications available
The Bob Williams Memorial Rotary Scholarship, sponsored by Rotary District 7305 Foundation, will award eight $5,000-per-year scholarships for the 2019-20 academic year. High school seniors and vocational and GED students in Allegheny, Beaver and northern Westmoreland County are eligible to apply.
Students must have a grade-point average of 2.5 or higher and complete an essay that highlights their community and school service.
Complete application materials are found on Rotary District 7300 website, rotarydistrict7305.org, under the Bob Williams Scholarship link and from school guidance counselors. Applications must be postmarked by Feb. 28.

The Armstrong County Community Foundation offers scholarships for nursing students and first-year medical students who graduated from Apollo-Ridge, Armstrong (including the former Kittanning and Ford City high schools,) Kiski Area and Leechburg Area high schools.
