Library sponsoring annual Quilt Show online

Community Library of Allegheny Valley in Harrison is hosting its 23rd annual Quilt Show through Jan. 23 online.

Online voting will continue through Jan. 23. Categories are hand-quilted, machine-quilted or wall hanging. There is no cost to vote on a quilt. The quilt with the most votes in each category will be awarded a prize on Jan. 26.

Today: Kiski Valley Water Pollution Control Authority Board of Directors will hold the reorganization meeting and conduct any business before the board at 7 p.m. at the office, 1361 School Road. Social distancing and CDC guidance will be observed, including the right to limit the number of persons admitted. In the event of an overflow, alternate access will be provided.

Allegheny Valley

Today: The All Virtual chapter of the Women’s Business Network will meet at 7:30 p.m. online at Zoom.us. Those attending can learn how the group supports the success and growth of women in business. Harrison 

Today: Allegheny Valley Association of Churches Food Bank will be open to anyone in need from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. at 1913 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights. Pull into the center parking lot and food will be placed into your vehicle. Those who are not yet registered should come after 3 p.m. Proof of income is no longer required. Today: Harrison Zoning Hearing Board will conduct a public hearing at 7 p.m. in the municipal building, 1 Municipal Drive, Natrona Heights.

Kiski Township

Thursday: Kiski Township Planning Commission will meet at 6 p.m. at the township municipal building, 1222 Old State Road. Social distancing will be observed, and face masks are required.

Jan. 21: Kiski Township Volunteer Fire Department is accepting orders for pies, cinnamon rolls, pepperoni rolls, snails and pumpkin rolls from The Pie Shoppe in Laughlintown. Cost: pies, $9.50 and varieties available include chocolate meringue, coconut meringue, lemon meringue, apple, dutch apple, blackberry, wild blueberry, razzleberry, cherry, peach and raisin; snails, $7 for 12 pie dough strips with cinnamon and sugar; cinnamon rolls with white icing, $7 for 6; cinnamon rolls with cream cheese icing, $7.50 for 6; pie variety pack includes four 4-inch pies, apple, cherry, blackberry and razzleberry, $9.50; fresh pepperoni rolls, $5.
