Pa. Litter Hawk Youth Award accepting entries
Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful is accepting projects for its Litter Hawk Youth Award program for students in kindergarten through sixth grade.
Students complete a project specific to their grade level, individually or as a part of a lesson initiated by schools, scout troops or other organizations. Grades and projects include kindergarten through fourth grade, poster; fifth grade, an essay; and sixth grade, a video.
This year’s theme is “Open Your Eyes to Litter – Show Us What You See.” Two entries will be named winners in each grade level and will receive ribbons and a certificate. All participants will receive a Litter Hawk sticker. Entry deadline is Jan. 31.
Winners will be announced in May with a display of winning entries at the state Capitol building. For details and entry forms, visit keeppabeautiful.org/grants-awards/awards/litter-hawk. For questions, contact Stephanie Larson at 724-836-4121, ext. 104 or slarson@keeppabeautiful.org.
