Operation Gratitude to benefit troops, first responders

Leechburg Public Library is collecting thank you cards, letters and craft pages from the public to be included in care packages sent to servicemen and women, first responders, veterans and their caregivers by Operation Gratitude.

Drop off your contribution before July 31 at the library, 139 Market St.


Free STEAM camp planned in New Kensington

Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, New Kensington, is taking reservations for a free children’s STEAM Camp planned from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 17, 19 and 31 and Aug. 2 at the church, 1150 Fourth Ave.

Children who are entering first through sixth grade are welcome. Lunch will be provided. Reservations are limited to the first 30 children. Children should plan to attend all four sessions.

Church to welcome new pastor

Trinity United Methodist Church, Brackenridge, will welcome new pastor the Rev. Diane Curry Randolph at the 9 a.m. Sunday service at the church, 857 10th Ave.

A graduate of Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, Randolph is also senior pastor of Freeport United Methodist Church and Grace United Methodist Church in Natrona Heights, Harrison. Trinity United Methodist Church has been added to the charge.

Service music will be by Marianne Cornetti.
