Drive-through food distribution set for Tuesday at Pittsburgh Mills

Allegheny Valley Association of Churches and the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank will host a drive-thru food distribution for anyone in need from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the rear parking lot near Dick’s Sporting Goods at the Galleria at Pittsburgh Mills, Frazer. No cars are permitted to arrive before 5 p.m.

Reservations are required by 5 p.m. Monday to ensure enough food is available. To make a reservation, visit pittsburghfoodbank.org/drive-up or call 412-460-3663, ext. 655. You will need your name, email, zip code, email address, current weekly income and license plate number for the car that will pick up the food.

Office open house scheduled by Rep. Carrie Lewis DelRosso

Rep. Carrie Lewis DelRosso will host an open house from 3 to 5 p.m. July 14 at her office, 950 Pittsburgh St., suite 200, Springdale.

Lewis DelRosso and her staff will be available to discuss local and state government issues and the services available to constituents. Light refreshments will be served.

The 33rd District covers East Deer, Frazer, Harmar, part of Harrison, Indiana Township, Springdale Township, Brackenridge, Cheswick, Oakmont, Springdale, Tarentum, Arnold and New Kensington.

Women’s charity golf outing scheduled Aug. 10

A women’s golf outing to benefit Allegheny Valley Association of Churches and the outreach ministries of Central Presbyterian Church of Tarentum will be Aug. 10 at Saxon East Golf Course, 839 Ekastown Road, Clinton Township.

The event is a two-person scramble with a 9 a.m. shotgun start. Cost is $45 and includes nine holes of golf, lunch, cart and prizes. Sponsorship opportunities are available. Registration deadline is July 31.

Cheswick

Today: Pittsburgh Shrine Center will host a Night at the Races at 7 p.m. at the center, 1877 Shriners Way. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and dinner will be at 6. There will be food, soft drinks, coffee, beer, small games of chance, a silent auction and 50/50 raffle. Admission: $20

East Vandergrift

Today and Sunday: A rummage sale will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and noon to 1 p.m. Sunday in the basement of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, 420 McKinley Ave.
