Drive-through food distribution set for Tuesday at former Sears store
Allegheny Valley Association of Churches and the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank will host a drive-through food distribution for anyone in need from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in the parking lot of the former Sears store at the Galleria at Pittsburgh Mills, Frazer.
No cars will be permitted to arrive before 5 p.m. No paperwork or income verification is required. The event will serve 600 cars. Each car will receive one food share of at least 50 pounds of food regardless of the number of households in the vehicle. Each household in need should come in a separate car.
Individuals must remain in their vehicle except to use the provided outdoor restrooms. After pulling up to the distribution area, recipients should put their car in park and unlock the trunk or backseat for the food the be loaded.

Casino Theatre seeking donations
The Casino Theater in Vandergrift is seeking donations to help with the upkeep and maintenance of the theater during the current pandemic.
Since mid-March six shows at the theater have been canceled, but the costs of maintenance and utility bills continue to come in. Revenue lost from these performances could top $25,000.
The theater is marking it 120th anniversary this year and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Donations can be sent to Casino Theatre Restoration and Management, 145 Lincoln Ave., PO Box 202, Vandergrift PA 15690. Contributions are fully tax deductible.
Free drive-in movies planned in Allegheny County
The Allegheny County Family Drive-In Movie series will feature free drive-in movies each week at Boyce Park in Plum and Hartwood Acres Park in Indiana Township.
Movies will be at sundown Tuesdays in Boyce Park and Saturdays in Hartwood Acres Park.
This week’s movie will be, “Moana,” rated PG.
