Allegheny Township to celebrate Community Day
The Allegheny Township Community Day Festival will be from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at Northmoreland Park.
There will be food, crafters, vendors, a vehicle show, petting zoo, DUI driving course, emergency vehicle display, basket raffle and 50-50.

Lower Burrell farmers market to feature Santa
Lower Burrell’s farmers market will double in size this Saturday for a “Christmas in July” event.
Almost 70 vendors from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday will descend upon the Bon Air Elementary School parking lot, 3260 Leechburg Road, said Carley Logan, market co-organizer.
Santa will visit from 10 a.m. to noon. The event features vendors, artisans, food trucks, an art show from Burrell elementary students, holiday decorations and crafts and live music.
Parking and entry are free.
Patty Griffin to perform Sunday at Hartwood Acres
The free 2024 Allegheny County Summer Concert series will feature Patty Griffin with Lucy Wainwright Roche at 7 p.m. Sunday at Hartwood Acres Park Amphitheater, 4070 Middle Road, Hampton.
Bring a chair. Popup tents and umbrellas are permitted but must be taken down before the performance begins. Dogs are permitted but must be on a leash at all times and be up to date on all vaccinations and licensing.

Saturday: A bingo to benefit the Avonmore Senior Center will begin at 1 p.m. at the center, 458 Railroad Ave. Doors open at 11 a.m. Packets must be picked by 12:30 p.m. and early birds will begin at 12:45 p.m. There will be a 50-50 raffle, 14 regular games, five specials and a $300 last jackpot game. Saturday: The Diaper Pantry at Christ Our Hope Anglican Church will distribute diapers from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church, 926 Painter Ave., and at Sheldon Park, both in Natrona Heights. Recipients must drive up and remain in their vehicles. First-time recipients must provide their own identification, the child’s birth certificate and a current WIC or SNAP card.
Sunday/Wednesday: The Pittsburgh-Tarentum Campmeeting Association, 1451 Main St., will have a service at 7 p.m. Sunday with speaker the Rev. Lower Burrell
Saturday: The Joseph “Bud” Myers Farmers Market will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Bon Air School parking lot, 3260 Leechburg Road.
Saturday: The kitchen at the Veterans of Foreign Wars post will be closed.
Saturday: The ClothesLine Ministry at Bethesda Lutheran Church, 3084 Leechburg Road, will be open from 9 a.m. to noon. Clothing, shoes and purses will be sold buy one, get one free. A bridal gown is available for $50. The jewelry room will be open. Please bring your own bags.

New Kensington
Saturday: East Kensington Community Circle will host a bingo in the Community Circle building, 1785 Seventh St., across from Martin Elementary School. Doors open at 11:30. Lunch will be served at noon. Menu: sliders, macaroni and cheese and dessert. Bingo starts at 1 p.m. There will be a progressive jackpot, quickies and magic number game. Cost: $20, includes lunch, eight regular games and eight specials.
Sunday: Aluminum City Terrace Bingo Committee will host bingo from 2 to 4:30 p.m. in the activity center. Doors open at 1:30 p.m. Cost: $5, includes one board, snacks and drinks; extra boards, $1 each. There will be a 50-50 raffle. Public welcome.
Oakmont
Through August 31: Kerr Memorial Museum, 402 Delaware Ave., Oakmont, is featuring an exhibit of elegant fashions of the late 1800s to the Roaring ’20s at the museum. Items on display were donated to the museum by the W.H. Brown Family of Pittsburgh. Hours are by appointment. Tours and information: 412-826-9295 to schedule a tour.
Parks Township

West Leechburg
