Women’s golf outing scheduled Aug. 12
A women’s golf outing to benefit Allegheny Valley Association of Churches and the outreach ministries of Central Presbyterian Church of Tarentum will be Aug. 12 at Saxon East Golf Course, 839 Ekastown Road, Clinton Township.
The event is a two-person scramble with a 9 a.m. shotgun start. Cost is $65 and includes nine holes of golf, lunch, cart and prizes. Sponsorship opportunities are available.

Free rides available to medical appointments
Wesley Family Services offers free transportation for those 18 and older from their homes to medical facilities within New Kensington, Arnold, Lower Burrell and parts of Vandergrift.
Rides are available from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays except holidays. One-way and round-trip rides are available.
