Free concert planned at Concordia Lutheran Ministries
The summer concert series at Concordia at Cabot will feature the Penn Trafford Community Band at 4 p.m. Sunday on the Haven II patio, entrance 5, 148 Marwood Road, Jefferson Township.
Registration is encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome. To register, call Peggy at 724-352-5378 or email PTrettel@concordialm.org. In case of inclement weather, the concert will be in the Haven I dining room, 112 Marwood Road.
Risen to Save to play Tarentum concert
Tarentum Summer Concert Series will feature contemporary Christian band Risen to Save with Curt Marino in concert at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Carl J. Magnetta Jr. Memorial Amphitheater in Riverview Memorial Park with the band American Pie.
The Snack Shack opens at 6 p.m. The concerts are sponsored by Tarentum Recreation Board.
Salvation Army free lunch distribution offered Thursday
The Allegheny Valley Salvation Army and Community Center in Brackenridge offers free grab and go lunches from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursdays in parking lot at the center, 917 Brackenridge Ave.
Everyone is welcome.
Shrine Center to host Jimmy Alder Band in concert
The Pittsburgh Shrine Center will present a free outdoor concert featuring the Jimmy Alder Band and John Gresh’s Gris-Gris from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday under cover at the center, 1877 Shriners Way, Cheswick.
Gates open at 6 p.m. Seating and tables will be provided, and food and beverages will be sold. No outside food and beverages, please.
