Golf outing to raise funds for Relay for Life
The Armstrong County Relay for Life Together Forever team will sponsor a golf outing Aug. 5 at Vandergrift Golf Club, 124 Tee Lane, Allegheny Township.
Check-in will be at 11 a.m. and tee off will be at 1 p.m. Cost is $200 for a four-person team and includes nine holes of golf, cart and T-shirt.

Concordia Lutheran Ministries to host free concert
The 56 East Band will present a free concert at 4 p.m. Sunday at Concordia Haven Retirement Apartments, 148 Marwood Road, Jefferson Township.

Hartwood Acres to host funk and soul concert
The Allegheny County Summer Concert Series at Hartwood Acres Park Amphitheater, Indiana Township, will feature War with Check Your Bucket in concert at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
Food trucks will open at 6 p.m. Rain or shine. A $20 per vehicle fee will benefit the Allegheny County Department of Human Services.
Monarch Hospice seeking volunteers
Monarch Hospice, Lower Burrell, is looking for volunteers to help with personal companionship, emotional support, pet therapy, sewing and knitting and as an administrative assistant.

East Vandergrift
Today: East Vandergrift Community Foundation, a non-profit formed to support community and educational initiatives, will sponsor a Food Truck Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. on Chambers Street in the borough. There will be food vendors, beer, music, a raffle and an opportunity to socialize.
Sunday: Our Lady, Queen of Peace Parish will celebrate Mass at 11 a.m. on the lawn in front of the grotto at the church, 411 McKinley Ave. Bring a folding chair or blanket. There is no shade in this area, so wear sunscreen or bring an umbrella or hat. Ice cream sandwiches will be served afterward. In case of inclement weather, Mass will be celebrated inside the church.

Sunday: A spaghetti dinner fundraiser and concert featuring the Eastern Area Youth Chorale Alumni Choir will be at Center United Methodist Church, 1575 Donnellville Road. Dinner will be from 5:45 to 6:45 p.m. and the concert will begin at 7. Donations will be accepted.
