Golf scramble scheduled by Riverview Community Action Corp

Riverview Community Action Corporation will have its annual golf scramble Aug. 25 at Hill Crest Country Club, Lower Burrell.

Check-in will be at 7:30 a.m. and the shotgun start will be at 9 a.m. Cost is $150 per person or $550 per foursome, and includes cart, continental breakfast, snack at the turn, two drink tickets and lunch. There will be raffles and awards will be presented afterward.

Cat sanctuary requesting donations

Zen Cat Sanctuary in New Kensington is asking for donations of dry food, litter and supplies.

Items needed include Wishlists for supplies from Chewy.com and Amazon are online at zencatsanctuary.org/wish-lists. Monetary donations are also welcome by visiting the group’s website. For details, email contact@zencatsanctuary.org.

Free Breaking Bread dinner set Thursday

Knead Community Cafe, 1011 Barnes St., New Kensington, will host its monthly dine-in Breaking Bread dinner at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the cafe.
