Veterans outreach offered in Lower Burrell
Rep. Bob Brooks will offer veterans outreach hours from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. July 29 at his Lower Burrell office, 2879 Leechburg Road.
A veterans outreach specialist from the American Legion will be available to answer questions about disability claims, accessing records, medal replacement and job search applications.
Appointments are encouraged, but not required. For an appointment, call the office at 724-335-2790.
Free movie offered at Hartwood Acres
The free Allegheny County Movies in the Parks series will feature the movie, “50 First Dates” at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Hartwood Acres Amphitheater, Indiana Township.
The movie is rated PG-13. Gates open at 7 p.m. and the movie starts at dusk. Bring a blanket or a lawn chair.
Free grab and go lunch offered Wednesday at Allegheny Valley Church of God
Allegheny Valley Church of God, 216 Catalpa St., New Kensington, will serve free grab and go lunches at noon Wednesday.
