Golf outing planned by Cross Roads Community Presbyterian Church

Cross Roads Community Presbyterian Church, Leechburg, will host its 18th annual golf outing Aug. 17 at The Links at Spring Church, 3257 Balsiger Road, Kiski Township.

Check-in will begin at 11:30 a.m. and the shotgun start will be at 12:30 p.m. Cost is $100 per player and includes a cart, hot dog at the turn, dinner and a chance for prizes. Proceeds will benefit church mission projects and general fund.

Lower Burrell

Today: A celebration to benefit the Cody Allen Trim Memorial Scholarship will be from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Eagles, 2134 Freeport Road. July 26: Join Allegheny County Park Rangers for a day of habitat restoration from 9 a.m. to noon at Deer Lakes Park. Meet at 9 a.m. at the Veterans I shelter. Volunteers will use hand tools to remove invasive species and may plant native species. Expect to participate in physical activity. No experience is necessary.
