Fun on Wheels to be featured at Leechburg events

Leechburg Volunteer Fire Company will host a Fun on Wheels Day Saturday at the fire hall grounds, Canal Street.

There will be three events: a car show and Kids Kraze, both from noon to 5 p.m., and a Bike Night with a band from 7 to 10 p.m.

Vehicle registration for the car show will begin at 11 a.m. and is $5. The Kids Kraze event will feature a touch-a-truck, activities and free food and candy, while supplies last.


Concert to benefit Officer Brian Shaw Foundation

The fourth annual Officer Brian Shaw Foundation Concert will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday at Mogie’s Irish Pub, 3210 Leechburg Road, Lower Burrell.

The concert lineup includes TKO, Up The River, Curtis Unplugged, Dos Acoustics, Jess Sides and Big House Pete. There will be an open mic to end the day from 8 to 10 p.m. There will be a silent auction, T-shirt sale and 50/50, all to benefit the foundation.


Concert planned Saturday in Kittanning’s Riverfront Park

The Arts on the Allegheny summer concert series will feature the bands Better Than Ezra and the Wait at 7 p.m. Saturday in the John P. Murtha Amphitheater in Kittanning’s Riverfront Park.

Vendors will open at 5 p.m.

Saturday: Apollo Hose Company No. 2 will host a Fish Fry in July from 4 to 7 p.m. at the firehall, 327 N. Fourth St. Dine in or takeout. July 30: The Outdoor Discovery Center at Crooked Creek will offer a workshop with the Traveling Greenhouse to make a macrame air plant pod at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the center, 142 Kerr Road. Brackenridge

Today: Bingo will begin at 7:15 p.m. at the American Legion, 845 First Ave.

Today: The Allegheny Valley Salvation Army and Community Center will distribute free grab and go lunches from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the parking lot at the center, 917 Brackenridge Ave. Free grocery items from Walmart and Aldi will be available. Everyone welcome.

Freeport

Harrison  

Today: Natrona Heights Veterans of Foreign Wars will host a car and bike cruise from 5 to 9 p.m. at the post, 894 Veterans Lane. Weather permitting. There will be food, music and a 50/50 raffle.

July 31: A purse bash to benefit Robin’s Home charity that provides help to low income women veterans and their children will be at Natrona Heights Veterans of Foreign Wars, 894 Veterans Lane.
