Concordia to host 140th summer festival Sunday

The 140th annual Concordia Lutheran Ministries Summer Festival will be from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday in the Lund Care Center backyard, 134 Marwood Road, Jefferson.

The event is open to the public and admission and parking are free. The Pittsburgh Doo Wop Big Band will be featured from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. and there will be picnic-themed food, a car cruise, and activities and a fishing derby for children 12 and younger.

The Rev. Jack Hartman, Concordia Director of Chaplaincy Services will be the featured speaker at 4 p.m. worship service.

Insulator show set Saturday in West Leechburg

The Western Reserve Insulator Club’s 21st annual Allegheny Valley Insulator Show and Sale will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the West Leechburg Fireman’s Recreation Hall, 1116 Gosser St.

Summer celebration and food truck rally coming to Lower Burrell

Lower Burrell Volunteer Fire Department No. 3 will host a summer celebration and food truck rally from 1 to 6 p.m. Saturday at the firehall, 3255 Leechburg Road.

There will be 18 food vendors, a free children’s corner with games and prizes, a DJ, basket raffle, small games of chance and a 50/50 raffle. Free parking and covered seating will be available. Cash and credit cards will be accepted. A portion of food truck sales will benefit the fire company.

Friday: The free summer children’s playground program sponsored by Natrona Comes Together Association will present the a musical comedy program with Josh and Gabby at 12:30 p.m. at the Natrona pavilion, 10 River Ave. Funding for programs provided by PNC Charitable Trusts.
