Bike ride to raise money for scholarships
The Cody Allen Trim Scholarship bike ride fundraiser will be July 31 at the New Kensington Eagles, 2134 Freeport Road.
Registration will be at 11 a.m. and kick stands up will be at noon. Cost is $15 per rider and $10 per passenger. There will be food, drinks, a cash bar, corn hole tournament, silent auction and balloon release.
Proceeds benefit scholarships given annually to local graduating seniors.
Volunteers needed at Allegheny Valley Hospital
Allegheny Valley Hospital, Harrison, is seeking volunteers for its surgical service unit reception team.
Volunteers will greet patients and their families upon arrival and serve as a communications link between them and the surgeons and nursing staff. A minimum of four hours per week is requested and volunteers must be at least 18 years old.

Drag queen bingo to aid cancer patient
A drag queen bingo to benefit cancer patient Kevin Coudriet will be at 4 p.m. Aug. 6 at the Brackenridge American Legion, 845 First Ave.
Doors will open at 2 p.m. Cost is $35 and includes food. Extra packages and daubers will be sold and there will be a cash bar, refreshments, small games of chance, a silent auction and 50/50.
