Local food shuttle available in NK, Arnold and Lower Burrell

The Fresh Food Shuttle sponsored by the New Kensington Downtown Partnership and Wesley Family Services operates from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays for residents of New Kensington, Arnold and Lower Burrell.

Residents can be picked up at their homes and be taken to Golden Dawn, Giant Eagle and Aldi, all in New Kensington, and Walmart and Aldi, both in Pittsburgh Mills in Frazer.

Shoppers must be at least 18 years old and can bring up to four bags. Shuttles are smoke-free. For details and to schedule, call 724-895-8270.

Tuesday: The free summer children’s playground program sponsored by Natrona Comes Together Association will offer a program, “Smelly Science” with Mad Science of Pittsburgh at noon at the Natrona pavilion, 10 River Ave. A free lunch is served by Faith Community Partners from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. weekdays for children 18 and younger. Saturday : A free guided hike with park rangers will be from 9 to 11 a.m. at Harrison Hills Park. Meet at the environmental learning center.
