Free paper shredding event planned in Lower Burrell
A free paper shredding event will be hosted from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Lower Burrell center of Clearview Federal Credit Union, 3271 Leechburg Road.
There is a maximum of four 50-pound boxes of household shredding per person. Each box must be able to be handled by one person.
Pet food donations will be accepted for local animal charities.
JJ Grey and Mofro to headline free concert in Kittanning
The Arts on the Allegheny summer concert series will feature a free concert of funk rock music by JJ Grey and Mofro with opening act Bill Toms at 7 p.m. Saturday in John P. Murtha Amphitheater in Riverfront Park, Kittanning.
Food vendors will open at 5 p.m.
Spaghetti dinner to aid NK breast cancer patient
A spaghetti dinner to benefit Cami McDonald of New Kensington will be from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday at the East Kensington Community Circle building, 1785 Seventh St.
There will be basket and 50/50 raffles. Cost is $10; younger than 12, $6. Advance tickets are $9; younger than 12, $5. Dine-in or takeout available. For tickets, call Andrea at 724-681-7038 or Risa at 724-472-5707.
Proceeds will help with medical bills and expenses.
