National Night Out planned in West Leechburg

West Leechburg Crime Watch will host a National Night Out event from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the borough fireman’s recreation hall grounds, 1116 Gosser St.

There will be food trucks, vendors, fire trucks and police personnel. Music will be by Brad Kerezsturi, Faith Young and the Kiski Valley Community Band.


Festa Italiana to feature Italian food specialties

The 41st annual Mt. St. Peter Festa Italiana will be from 5 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday on the parish grounds at Mt. St. Peter Church, 100 Freeport Road, New Kensington.

There will be music, Italian food specialties, desserts and pastries; children’s games and games of chance. Mass will be celebrated at 4:30 p.m. Saturday and the festa will open afterward. Free shuttle service will be available from Valley High School and admission is free.

Wednesday: Al-Anon will meet at 8 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, 847 10th Ave. The group offers help and hope for families and friends of alcoholics.
