Free diapers produce and baby food to be distributed

Free diapers, fresh produce and baby food will be distributed from noon to 4 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Highlands Family Center, 415 E. Fourth Ave., Tarentum.

Salvation Army offers free lunches

The Allegheny Valley Salvation Army and Community Center offers free grab and go lunches from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursdays in parking lot at the center, 917 Brackenridge Ave.

Tickets for Oakmont/Verona Kennywood Day to be sold

Discount tickets for the 108^th Oakmont/Verona Kennywood Day planned for Aug. 19 will be sold from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday in the front parking lot of Oakmont Bakery in Oakmont.

Cost is $29 for a ride all day pass and $19 for a senior citizen pass for those who are at least 55 years old.

There will be no bus transportation offered this year.
