Participants welcome to march in Aug. 7 Westmoreland Co. Firemen’s parade

The New Kensington Bureau of Fire will host the 128th annual Western Pennsylvania Firemen’s Association convention Aug. 7 to 11.

The parade will begin at 2 p.m. Aug. 7 with prejudging at 10 a.m. at Valley High School. Church groups, baton and drum units, non-profit organizations, businesses and Boy and Girl Scouts are being sought to march in the parade.

Cross Roads Church to annual host golf outing

Cross Roads Community Presbyterian Church, Leechburg, is hosting its 14th annual golf outing at 1:30 p.m. Aug. 22 at The Links at Spring Church, 3257 Brenhaven Lane, Kiski Township.

There will be at shotgun start. Cost is $95 per golfer, includes buffet dinner and prizes. Registration is required by Aug. 13.

Free concert planned Thursday in Natrona

The award-winning Woods Family will present a free concert at 7 p.m. Thursday in Natrona Park, Harrison.
