Free concerts planned at Shrine Center

The Pittsburgh Shrine Center will present free outdoor concerts from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursdays undercover at the center, 1877 Shriners Way, Cheswick.

Gates open at 6 p.m. This week’s featured group will be Tina Daniels Band. Seating and tables will be provided and food and beverages will be sold. All ages are welcome. No outside food and beverages, please.


Pig roast and concert to benefit Armstrong festival

A free concert and pig roast to benefit the Fort Armstrong Folk Festival will begin at 3 p.m. at Falcon Park, 2169 Route 66 rear, Manor Township.

The Richard Parker Trio will perform at 3 p.m. and food will be sold beginning at 5 p.m. Features performers The Jentz will play from 6 to 8 p.m. and there will be raffles. BYOB


Parade to honor 2021 Leechburg grads

A parade to honor the Leechburg Area High School Class of 2021 will be Thursday in Leechburg.

The parade will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Leechburg Volunteer Firemen’s grounds on Canal Street and go up First Street, across Logan Avenue, down Second Street, left onto Market Street and out River Road to the Riverside Drive-In in Parks Township for the commencement ceremony.


Salvation Army free lunch distribution planned Thursday

The Allegheny Valley Salvation Army and Community Center in Brackenridge offers free grab and go lunches from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursdays in parking lot at the center, 917 Brackenridge Ave.

Butler County

Thursday: The National Alliance on Mental Illness of Butler County will offer a free online support group at 7 p.m. at Zoom.us for families and friends of those living with a mental illness. East Vandergrift 

June 20: Our Lady, Queen of Peace Parish is selling raffle tickets for whole pig raffle. The winner will receive a whole pig, a 20-cubic foot freezer, a $200 gift card to Locust Grove Country Shop, a $200 gift card to Rukas Beverage and a $100 gift card to the Vandergrift Fox’s Pizza Den. June 11 : St. Joseph High School is conducting an online basket raffle as part of the annual Spartan Scramble golf outing.
