Free dairy products to be distributed Saturday
Free dairy products will be given out at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Heights Plaza, Natrona Heights, Harrison.
Recipients should drive up, remain in their vehicle and boxes will be loaded into your trunk.
No registration is required, and service will be first come, first served, one box per family.
The event is sponsored by Harvest Community Church, Harrison, in conjunction with Marburger Dairy, the USDA Food and Drug Administration, local dairy producers and Southern Baptist Disaster Relief. For details, visit harvestpa.org or call the church at 724-548-5643.
Help needed for Freeport Theatre Festival clean-up days
Volunteers are needed from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday to help clean the Freeport Theatre Festival and ready the facility for the summer season.
The festival is located at 2498 White Cloud Road in Allegheny Township. Refreshments and rubber gloves will be provided.
Community Clothes Closet plans to reopen
The Community Clothes Closet, 1129 Kenneth Ave., New Kensington, will reopen at 10 a.m. Saturday.
Hours will be 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mondays.
Face masks are required and a maximum of 25 people can be in the store at one time. Shields have been installed at the check-out counters and sanitizing stations are located at all room entrances.
Donations are not being accepted at this time.
Lower Burrell Farmers Market to open for the season
The Lower Burrell Farmers Market will open at 9 a.m. Saturday in city hall parking lot, 2800 Bethel St.
Sponsored by the city parks commission, hours will be 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays. Face masks are required. For details, call Bud Myers at 724-339-1452.
Harrison diaper pantry plans monthly drive-up distribution
The Diaper Pantry at Christ Our Hope Anglican Church, Harrison, will distribute diapers 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the church, 926 Painter Ave., and at Sheldon Park, both in Natrona Heights.
Recipients must drive up and remain in their vehicles.
First-time recipients must still provide present their own identification, the child’s birth certificate and a current WIC or SNAP card.
