Input sought for community mural in New Kensington
The Community Arts and Reintegration Project, a program of the Center for Applied Research at the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg, in collaboration with Westmoreland County Community Action, is seeking community members to help create a community mural on the side of the Walt’s Deli building, 453 Ninth St., New Kensington.

Bridgepoint Church offers free meals for children
Bridgepoint Church, Tarentum, will distribute free grab and go breakfasts and lunches for children from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesdays through July 29 at the church, 400 E. Ninth Ave.
Food Truck event planned Wednesday in Apollo
The Wheel Good Wednesday food truck event sponsored by the Apollo Events Committee and Apollo Area Historical Society will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the old Stanford lot on Clifford Avenue.
Kona Ice and Funky Monkey Donuts will be there from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Speal’s on Wheels and Kazcor Ravioli Company will be on hand from 4 to 8 p.m.

Free open door luncheon offered in New Kensington
Allegheny Valley Church of God, 216 Catalpa St., New Kensington, will host a free open door grab and go luncheon at noon Wednesday.

The Allegheny Valley Association of Churches Food Bank will be open to anyone in need from 1:30 to 5 p.m. Wednesdays at 1913 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights, Harrison.
