Children’s programs planned by Community Library
Community Library of Allegheny Valley in Harrison will sponsor programs for children and families starting this week and continuing through Aug. 1.
They include:
• Colorful Tales Family Story Time, 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesdays through July 29 at the library, 1522 Broadview Blvd.
• Color Splash Story Time in the Park, noon, Tuesdays through July 29 near the waterpark in Tarentum’s Memorial Park, First Avenue.
• Colorful Cuties Toddle Time, 10 to 10:30 a.m. Fridays through Aug. 1 at the library. Children 12 months to 3 years old and their caregiver are welcome.

Thursday : The Alle-Kiski Chapter of the American Wine Society will meet at 7 p.m. at River Forest Country Club, 130 Club House Drive. Today: The Alle-Kiski Valley Historical Society’s Flea-Tique antique and collectible show will be open from daybreak to 1 p.m. at the Bull Creek Tour-Ed Mine site, off Bull Creek Road. The event is held rain or shine on the third Sunday of each month through October. No pets are permitted. Customer parking: $3 per vehicle. Today: There will be no concert at Hartwood Acres Park Amphitheater due to the US Open. Next week’s concert will feature the Easy Star All-Stars.

Tuesday: The free summer children’s playground program sponsored by Natrona Comes Together Association will offer a workshop to plant a garden to take home at noon at the Natrona pavilion, 10 River Ave. Funding provided by the Grable Foundation.
