Plum Summerfest to feature food and fireworks
The Plum Summerfest will be Thursday, Friday and Saturday at Larry Mills Park, 1 Fontana Drive, Plum.
There will be food trucks and carnival rides. A fireworks display will end the festival Saturday night. Onsite parking will be available Thursday. Parking on Friday and Saturday will be at Amplify Church, 9400 Saltsburg Road, with free shuttle rides to and from the festival.
Tarentum Summer Concert series to feature Byrl Johnson
The Tarentum Summer Concert series will feature at performance by Byrl Johnson at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Carl J. Magnetta Jr. Memorial Amphitheater in Riverview Memorial Park.
The Snack Shack opens at 6 p.m. The concerts are sponsored by Tarentum Recreation Board.
Raffle to benefit Veterans Groceries in Need program
The Westmoreland County Marines Detachment No. 1416 is conducting a raffle for a $1,000 gift card to Community Market.
The winner will also receive a Blackstone grill and griddle combo, a Yeti cooler on wheels and a stovetop grill on wheels. There will be no second-place winner. Incorrect information was published in Saturday’s Stroller. Tickets are $10 each and include two numbers. The winning number will be the 7 p.m. July 4 Pick 3 number of the Pennsylvania Lottery.
