Greek Food Festival planned in Oakmont
The annual Greek Food Festival will be from noon to 9 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Dormition of the Theotokos Greek Orthodox Church, 12 Washington Ave., Oakmont.
All activities are outdoors. There will be walk-up lines serving Greek food and pastries. Evening performances will be by the Jr. Grecian Stars and Grecian Odyssey Dancers.
The menu will include chicken alexis, lamb shanks, pork souvlaki, pastitso, gyros and more. Payment will be by credit and debit cards only.

Animal Protectors conducting Sarris candy sale
Animal Protectors of Allegheny Valley will sell be selling Sarris candy bars for $1 throughout the summer.

Children’s musical to be presented at Casino Theatre
Armstrong Community Theater will present a children’s musical, “Haphazardly Ever After the Musical,” at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the Casino Theatre, Vandergrift.
Tickets are $10 and are available at Pomfret’s Paint and Variety Store, 149 Farragut Ave., Vandergrift, Quality Inn Royle in West Kittanning and the Worthington Library.
Burtner House looking for volunteers
Burtner House Restoration Society will conduct a clean-up from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the homestead on Burtner Road, Harrison, to prepare for the homestead’s 200th birthday celebration planned in September.
Volunteers are needed to cut trees, burn brush, move furniture and wood and do general clean-up work. Bring a weed eater, rake and saw if you have one. Rain or shine.
