Easy Star All-Stars to play at Hartwood Acres
Reggae band the Easy Star All-Stars will be featured at the free 2025 Summer Concert series Sunday at Hartwood Acres Park Amphitheater, 4000 Middle Road, Hampton.
Gates open at 3 p.m. and performances will begin at 7:30 p.m. Food trucks will be on site beginning at 6 p.m. Bring a folding chair. Popup tents and umbrellas are permitted but must be taken down before the performance begins. Dogs are permitted but must be on a leash at all times and be up to date on all vaccinations and licensing.
Concert to raise funds for cancer patient
The Rock for a Reason concert to benefit cancer patient Josh Durst and his family will begin at 1 p.m. Sunday at Leo’s Grand Ballroom at the Quality Inn, 300 Tarentum Bridge Road, New Kensington.
Doors open at noon. Bands scheduled to play include Sourmash, Five Alarm Flood, 7ate9, Barracuda, and Glitz. Steve Rohan from Bob FM 96.9 will be the master of ceremonies. There will be a cash bar and 50-50. Must be 21.
Admission at the door will be $10.

Today, Saturday and Sunday: Kiski Area Band will sponsor a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the high school gymnasium, 240 Hyde Park Road. Baked goods, snacks and lemonade will be sold.

Saturday: A free movie will be screened at dusk in Owens Grove Park. Bring a chair or blanket. The featured film will be, “The Lorax.” Free snacks and drinks will be served.
Sunday: First Lutheran Church, 214 N. Pennsylvania Ave., will sponsor a southern gospel concert with Randy Quinn at 3 p.m. at the church. Donations will be accepted. Details: 724-478-1283.
July 4: St. James Parish is selling tickets for a Fire Quacker July 4 lottery ticket raffle. The winner will receive a complete roll of $5, $10 and $20 Pennsylvania Lottery scratch-off tickets. Today: The township recreation board will host a free movie night in Memorial Park, 700 Front St. Gates open at 7 p.m. and the movie will begin at 8 p.m. Snacks, hot dogs, pop and water will be sold to benefit future events.
East Vandergrift
Sunday: Our Lady, Queen of Peace Parish will have bingo at 6:30 p.m. in the church social hall, 411 McKinley Ave. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. There will be a 48-number jackpot game, a 39-number picture frame game and a magic number game. Details: 724-478-4958.

Today: Natrona Heights Veterans of Foreign Wars will have bingo at 7 p.m. at the post, 894 Veterans Lane. Doors open at 6 p.m., and there will be specials, a 50-50 raffle and final game jackpot.

June 26: Join Allegheny County Park Rangers for a day of habitat restoration at Deer Lakes Park. Meet at 5:30 p.m. at the Veterans I shelter. Volunteers will use hand tools to remove invasive species and may plant native species. Expect to participate in physical activity. No experience is necessary.
