Knead Community Café welcomes donations

Knead Community Café, New Kensington, is accepting donations to help the daily operation of the café, 1011 Barnes St.

Items on the café’s wish list include premium white Vanity Fair 2-ply napkins, Clorox wipes, full-sized aluminum foil steam pans, Mini Moo’s creamer cups, dry creamer canisters, vinyl food service gloves in sizes large and extra large, cupcake liners and spray starch. Donations will be accepted during business hours 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays.


Volunteer needed to lead library club in Vandergrift

Vandergrift Public Library is seeking a volunteer to be the coordinator for the library’s YoYo art club.

Members of the club enjoy knitting, crocheting, tatting and other needle arts.

Free movie offered at Hartwood Acres

The free Allegheny County Movies in the Parks series at Hartwood Acres Amphitheater, Indiana Township, will feature the movie, “Ratatouille” at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. The movie is rated G.

Gates open at 7 p.m. and the movie starts at dusk. Bring a blanket or a lawn chair.
