Greek Food Festival planned in Oakmont

The annual Greek Food Festival will be Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Dormition of the Theotokos Greek Orthodox Church, 12 Washington Ave., Oakmont.

Food will be available from noon to 9 p.m. and music and dancing will continue until 11 p.m. each day. Evening performances will be by the Grecian Odyssey Dancers and the church youth group. The menu will include chicken alexis, lamb shanks, pork souvlaki, pastitso, moussaka and more. Advance online ordering with curbside pickup will be available and payment will be by credit and debit cards only. Orders must be received by 8 p.m. the day before pickup.

Food distribution set Tuesday at Lernerville Speedway

Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank will host a drive-through food distribution for anyone in need from 10:30 a.m. to noon Tuesday at Lernerville Speedway, 313 N. Pike Road.

No reservations are required. Guests should remain in their vehicles and open their door or trunk and will be served on a first-come, first-served basis.

Today: Kiski Area Band will sponsor a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the high school gymnasium, 240 Hyde Park Road. Baked goods, snacks and lemonade will be sold.

Apollo

July 4: St. James Parish is selling tickets for a Fire Quacker July 4 lottery ticket raffle. The winner will receive a complete roll of $5, $10 and $20 Pennsylvania Lottery scratch-off tickets. June 26: Join Allegheny County Park Rangers for a day of habitat restoration at Deer Lakes Park. Meet at 5:30 p.m. at the Veterans I shelter. Volunteers will use hand tools to remove invasive species and may plant native species. Expect to participate in physical activity. No experience is necessary.
