Back the Blue concert fundraiser planned Saturday

The sixth annual AKV Back the Blue concert will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday at Mogie’s Irish Pub, 3210 Leechburg Road, Lower Burrell.

Admission is $10. Musicians scheduled to perform include the Beat Daddies, TKO – the Knock Offs, Dan Hartman, Acoustic Union, Nothing Fancy, Byrl Johnson, the Rust Project and Heidi and the Hellcats. T-shirts, food and beverages will be sold and there will be an auction. Proceeds will be donated to local police departments and first responders.

West Deer church to celebrate polka Mass

Our Lady of the Lakes Parish will have a polka Mass with Mikey Dee and the DTO Singers at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Transfiguration Church campus, 100 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer.

There will be food trucks, a bake sale and basket raffle from 5 to 8 p.m. in the church parking lot.

Golf outing to benefit Kiski Area band, colorguard programs

The Kiski Area Band golf outing will be Aug. 10 at the Links at Spring Church, 3257 Balsiger Road, Kiski Township.

Check-in will begin at 12:30 p.m. and the shotgun start will be at 1:30 p.m. Cost is $110 per golfer and includes a cart, hot dog at the turn, beverages, a catered dinner and welcome gift. There will be a basket raffle, prizes and 50-50. Sponsorship opportunities are available.

Springdale
