Car and bike cruise planned in Vandergrift
A car and bike cruise to celebrate Vandergrift’s 125th anniversary will be from 6 p.m. to dark Friday along Grant Avenue in the borough.
There will be raffles, music by DJ Dale Frederick and Patsy Cline tribute artist Cathi Rhodes and food.
Vehicle entry fee is $10 and will benefit Victorian Vandergrift Museum and Historical Society. Dash plaques will be awarded to the first 75 vehicles.

Allegheny Valley Association of Churches Food Bank open Wednesday
The Allegheny Valley Association of Churches Food Bank will be open to anyone in need from 1:30 to 5 p.m. Wednesdays at 1913 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights, Harrison.
Food will be bagged in advance and placed into vehicles. To make a donation, visit avaoc.org.
Bell Volunteer Fire Department plans golf outing
The Bell Township Volunteer Fire Department golf outing will be Aug. 29 at the Apollo Elks Country Club, 151 Elks Lodge Road, Kiski Township.
The event will be a four-man scramble and the shotgun start will be at 8 a.m.
Cost is $70 per golfer and includes a cart, meal and drinks. There will be raffles.

Food Truck event planned Wednesday in Apollo
The Wheel Good Wednesday food truck event sponsored by the Apollo Events Committee and Apollo Area Historical Society will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the old Stanford lot on Clifford Avenue.
This week’s lineup includes the PghCrepes Poutine Truck and Tommy’s Catering from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Michele’s Mobile Meals, DelVecchio’s Sausage & Fries; Earth, Wheel and Fire Pizza, Ash & Kris Kitchen and Funky Monkey Donuts from 4 to 8 p.m.
