Golf outing to benefit Leechburg Area Education Foundation
Leechburg Area Education Foundation will host a scramble golf outing June 16 at The Links at Spring Church, 3257 Balsinger Road, Kiski Township.
Registration will begin at 7 a.m. and a shotgun start will be at 9 a.m. Cost is $125 per golfer and includes a buffet dinner, refreshments, hot dogs at the turn and cart.

Cash raffle to fund annual Independence Day fireworks
Summit Hose Company in Tarentum is conducting a cash raffle to fund the annual Community Fireworks Display planned at 10 p.m. July 3 at Dreshar Stadium.
Tickets are $5. Winners numbers will be the 7 p.m. Pa. Pick 3 numbers on 10 weekend dates in July. For tickets, send cash or a check made out to Summit Hose with a self-addressed, stamped envelope to 321 W. Seventh Ave., Tarentum PA 15084.
Bereavement event for children planned
Good Samaritan Hospice, a mission of Concordia Lutheran Ministries, will sponsor a free youth bereavement care event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 24 at its Middlesex Township office, 116 Browns Hill Road, Suite 100.
The event, “The Sounds of Summer,” will be a musical workshop for youngsters who are younger than 21 who have experienced the death of a loved one and their caregivers. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Lunch will be provided and there will be a special relaxation break-out session for the adults.

Highlands Senior Parade to honor Class of 2022
The community is encouraged to turn out for the Highlands High School Senior Parade at 6 p.m. Wednesday in Natrona Heights, Harrison.
The parade will start in the high school parking lot and go right on Pacific Avenue, left on Montana, right on Broadview Blvd., right on Municipal Drive to Park Avenue, left on Municipal Drive, left on Broadview Blvd, left on Ohio Avenue, left on Atlantic Avenue, left on Argonne Drive, right on 12th Avenue, left on California Avenue, right on Pacific Avenue and then back to the school lot.
The traditional “Chalk the Walk” event will begin at 4 p.m. and a DJ and food trucks will be from 4 to 7 p.m., all at the high school.

Tuesday: USA BMX will sponsor a free local registration drive for anyone interested in BMX racing from 6 to 7 p.m. at Westmoreland BMX track in Northmoreland Park, 200 Park Road. First-timers can borrow a loaner BMX bike and helmet or bring their own, and take a spin on the track to get a taste of what BMX riding is about.

Corpus Christi procession scheduled in New Kensington
The New Kensington Catholic Community Corpus Christi procession will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Mary Queen of Apostles School site by Feldarelli Square on Freeport Road.
The Blessed Sacrament will be carried under a canopy and the rosary will be recited with music and singing while walking from the school to Feldarelli Square and back. Light refreshments will be served. Rain date is June 15.
