Parade to honor Valley High Class of 2020
A parade to honor the Valley High School Class of 2020 will be at 10 a.m. today in New Kensington.
Local police departments and fire trucks will escort the seniors and their families as they ride in their vehicles. The parade will begin at the high school and proceed on Route 366 to Taco Bell, left onto Freeport Road, right onto Drey Street to Fifth Avenue, left onto Fourth Avenue, left onto Stevenson Blvd. and back into the high school parking lot.
Residents should not approach or attempt to stop vehicles and should observe social distancing while they view the parade.
Donations welcome for the Friendship Garden Food Pantry
Donations for the food pantry in the Tarentum Friendship Garden can be dropped off at the pantry on First Avenue or at the side doors to First United Presbyterian Church, 913 Lock St., Tarentum.
Items needed include cereal, bread, canned vegetables, soup, macaroni and cheese, rice, spaghetti and pasta sauce.

Plum
Plum Community Center is closed and all events canceled. Meals on Wheels will continue as scheduled. Those over 60 who are food insecure or rely on the daily lunch can continue to pick up Congregant Lunch provided by the county on a take-out basis only. Pick-ups will be Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Lunches must be ordered a day in advance by calling 412-795-2330.
