Free children’s summer food programs to open
Several summer food programs for children will open Monday in the Alle-Kiski Valley.
They are:
• Central Presbyterian Church, 305 Allegheny St., Tarentum will host, “Kid’s Meal Network,” from 9 to 11 a.m. weekdays beginning June 8 for children 18 and younger at the church. Free take out breakfasts and lunches will be served and there will be take-home activities. The program is sponsored by Central Presbyterian Church, its mission Faith Community Partners,the United Methodist Church Union, the state Department of Education and the United States Department of Agriculture.
• Free grab and go breakfasts and lunches will be distributed by the Building Block of Natrona and the United Methodist Church Union from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. weekdays beginning Monday through July 24 at Natrona Community Park. No registration is required, but please send a text to 724-257-1117 or email office@everyblockcounts.org with the number of children who will attend.
• Leechburg Area School District will offer free bagged breakfast and lunch meals to children 18 and younger from noon to 1 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays weekdays through Aug. 14. Meals will be distributed via curbside pickup at the student drop-off entrance. No walk-ups will be permitted.
Free webinar offered to reopening businesses
The Corner Launchbox in New Kensington will sponsor a free webinar, “To Open or Not to Open?” at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday with attorney Heather Harmon Kennedy.
The program will address the problems facing many companies as they adjust to reopening their businesses.

Parade to honor Burrell High School Class of 2020
A parade in honor of the Burrell High School Class of 2020 will begin at 1 p.m. Sunday at the high school, Puckety Church Road, Lower Burrell.
Class members will drive their own vehicles from the high school down Leechburg Road to Craigdell Road.

Those over 60 who are food insecure or rely on the daily lunch can continue to pick up Congregant Lunch provided by the county on a take-out basis only. Pick-ups will be Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
