Up The River band to be featured in Tarentum concert

The Tarentum Summer Concert series will present the band Up The River at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Carl J. Magnetta Jr. Memorial Amphitheater in Riverview Memorial Park.

The Snack Shack opens at 6 p.m. The concerts are sponsored by Tarentum Recreation Board.

Lower Burrell PD to host Coffee with a Cop

Lower Burrell Police Department will host, “Coffee with a Cop” from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday outside at City Hall, 2800 Bethel St.

The event is to encourage positive interaction and meaningful dialogue between law enforcement officers and the public they serve. Social distancing will be observed.

Salvation Army free lunch distribution offered Thursday

The Allegheny Valley Salvation Army and Community Center in Brackenridge offers free grab and go lunches from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursdays in parking lot at the center, 917 Brackenridge Ave.

Free grocery items from Walmart and Aldi will be available. Everyone is welcome.
