Apollo-Ridge High School to present musical
The drama department of Apollo-Ridge High School, Kiski Township, will present, “Disney High School Musical – On Stage!” at 7 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday in the high school auditorium, Route 56.

Annual antique show planned in Oakmont
The Kerr Memorial Museum’s 16th annual antique show will be March 13 to 15 at Oakmont Country Club, 1233 Hulton Road, Oakmont.
The preview party is from 6:30 to 9 p.m. March 13. The antiques show is from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 14 and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 15.
Admission is $75 for the preview party, and $10 for the antique show, valid for both days. Lunch will be available; cash only.
There will be antique furniture and accessories, including fine arts, pottery textiles, jewelry, silver and glassware.
This show is the major fundraiser for the Kerr Memorial Museum, an example of a late 19th-century Queen Anne-style home. For tickets, visit kerrmuseum.com. For information, call 412-826-9295.
Syria Shrine Center to host jazz concert
The Syria Shrine Center, Harmar, will host an evening of jazz at 7 p.m. Friday featuring the jazz ensembles from Deer Lakes High School and Butler High and Intermediate schools in the main ballroom at the center, 1877 Shriners Way.
Soloists from Duquesne and Slippery Rock universities and the Syria Shrine Jazz Ensemble will also perform. Tickets are $10 and are available by calling 724-274-7000 or at the door.
Lower Burrell church collecting food donations for children
Grace Community Presbyterian Church in Lower Burrell is conducting a food drive, “One Great Month of Sharing,” during March.
Single-serving packaged lunch and breakfast items are being collected for Meals for Children, a program that offers free weekend breakfasts and lunches to qualified children mainly in the Burrell School District.
Donations are being accepted at the church, 2751 Grant St.
Household goods collection continuing in Plum
Plum Rotary Club and the Blessing Board of Oakmont are partnering to sponsor a household goods drive.
The Blessing Board provides donated household furnishings to those in need at no cost.
Items that will be accepted include small working appliances, household goods such as dishes, silverware, pots and pans, and gently-used sheets, blankets and towels. Donations must be free from heavy stains, rips and tears, pet hair, cigarette smoke, bed bugs and mold. Broken small appliances, furniture, computers, clothing, books and knick knacks will not be accepted.
Donations can be dropped off during regular business hours through Friday6 at the Plum Municipal Building, 4575 New Texas Road; Plum Community Center, 499 Center-New Texas Road; or the Ron Boller State Farm Agency, 907 Presque Isle Drive.
Free diapers to be distributed in Tarentum
Highlands Family Center is partnering with the Western Pennsylvania Diaper Bank to provide free diapers to local families.
Free diapers will be distributed from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. the first and third Tuesday of each month at the center, 415 E. Fourth Ave., Tarentum.
Bring your child or your child’s birth certificate. There is a limit of one distribution per child per month.
Donations to the effort are also being accepted. Diapers can be dropped off at the center during business hours. For details, call the center at 724-224-9006.
