NK Salvation Army collecting personal items
The New Kensington Salvation Army is conducting a toiletry donation drive through the end of March at the center, 255 Third St.
Items needed include travel-size shampoo, conditioner and mouthwash, deodorant, feminine hygiene products, facial tissues, paper towels, toothpaste, toothbrushes; 8-ounce or smaller dish soap and laundry soap in pods or bottles 10-ounce or smaller.
Donations can be dropped off from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday at the center.
Full college scholarship available
I Beat A.L.L. Inc. and Teach from DeHart Academy are offering a full, four-year college scholarship to attend Young Harris College in Young Harris, Ga.
Students can apply by sending an email to Devyn Washburn at washburn@treachfromdehart.org. The winners will be announced April 7.
Pucketos Garden Club celebrates 90th anniversary
The Pucketos Garden Club of New Kensington is celebrating its 90th anniversary this year.
