Girl Scouts collecting used shoes
Oakmont/Verona Girl Scout Troop 52359 is collecting gently-worn, wearable used and new shoes through April 1.
All types of shoes, including sneakers, flip flops, heels and boots will be accepted. No holes in toes, broken heels, mold or mud please.
Drop off locations include:

• 325 Jefferson St., East Oakmont, Plum
• Oakmont Carnegie Library, Allegheny River Blvd., box inside

Collected shoes are used to support micro-enterprise vendors in developing nations.
Highlands Middle School to present musical
The drama department at Highlands Middle School, Harrison, will present the musical, “Disney Frozen Jr.” at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday in the middle school auditorium, 1350 Broadview Blvd., Natrona Heights.
Tickets are $6 for floor seating and $4 for in the balcony; Gold Card members: floor, $2; balcony, free.

Free diapers available at Highlands Family Center
Highlands Family Center is partnering with the Western Pennsylvania Diaper Bank to provide free diapers to local families.
Free diapers will be distributed from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. the first and third Tuesday of each month at the center, 415 E. Fourth Ave., Tarentum.
Bring your child or your child’s birth certificate. There is a limit of one distribution per child per month.
Donations to the effort are also being accepted. Diapers can be dropped off at the center during business hours. For details, call the center at 724-224-9006.
