Community invited to NK Restaurant Ramble

The New Kensington Restaurant Ramble and Spring Fling will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 26 in downtown New Kensington.

Ticket holders will receive access to 12 different participating restaurants that will serve a sample beverage and small bite pairing. Participating restaurants include Ashley’s Kitchen, Eazer’s Restaurant and Deli, Fat Cat’s Subs, Fox’s Pizza, Lynnette’s M.A.D. Custom Cakes, Panda Chinese, Taqueria El Pastorcito, SoCal Mexicali Grill, Steel Cup Coffee Roasters, Sweet Alchemy Bake Shop, Sweet Tillie’s and Voodoo Brewing Co.

Spaghetti dinner to benefit Tarentum fire victims

A spaghetti dinner is planned March 26 to benefit the families who lost their homes in a fire Feb. 21 in Tarentum.

Supplies are needed for the dinner. Items needed include water, pop, silverware, dinner rolls, salad mix, baby tomatoes, napkins, plastic wrap, Lysol wipes, Parmesan cheese, garbage bags and croutons. Donations will also be accepted for a basket auction and bake sale.

Items can be taken to Keri at 123 W. Ninth Ave., Tarentum.

Historical program planned March 29 in Tarentum

The Alle-Kiski Valley Historical Society will present a program, “Meet the Midwife! Tales from an 18th Century Frontier Midwife,” at 2 p.m. March 29 at the A-K Historical Museum, 224 E. Seventh Ave. Reenactor Melissa Southworth from the Hannastown Settlement in Westmoreland County will be the speaker. The museum is open from noon to 3 p.m. Wednesdays and Saturdays.
