April Fool Mystery Luncheon planned April 3

Victorian Vandergrift Museum and Historical Society will host an April Fool Mystery Luncheon at 1 p.m. April 3 in the social hall of Pleasant View Church of the Brethren, 1156 Pleasant View Drive, Parks.

Servers will present a menu with 25 items on it. Diners must select one item from each of the five courses to be served. The actual names of each item will not be shown and diners must order based on a word, phrase or saying that hints at the actual item.

Cost is $15 and advance tickets are required. There will be entertainment and a silent auction. Accommodations will be made for those with food allergies. Those attending must be at least 12 years old. For tickets, call 724-681-6667 or email jlo129@live.com. Ticket deadline is March 31.

Cleanup set at Prospect Cemetery

Prospect Cemetery in Brackenridge will have a clean-up day beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday.

Donations being collected for Ukrainian refugees in Poland

The Education Department at Saint Vincent College is collecting supplies to help Ukrainian refugees. Christ the King Church, 125 Park Road, Gilpin, has been designated a collection point for the Allegheny-Kiski Valley.

Items needed include crayons, toys, coloring books, shoes, school supplies, diapers, infant supplies, travel cups, blankets, scarves, gloves, toiletries, sleeping bags, non-perishable food and personal care items. Shipping to Poland was donated by Teknika Interpack Systems Inc. in Mechanicsburg.

Donation drop-off days and times are: 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Sunday. For details, call Stacie Nowikowski at 724-309-1590.
