Color fun run planned April 27 in Gilpin

The second David Leech Elementary School Color Fun Run will be at 11 a.m. April 27 at Gilpin Leechburg Park, Park Road, Gilpin.

Check-in will be at 10 a.m. All David Leech Elementary students are automatically registered and will receive a free T-shirt. Advanceregistration for the public and any child 5 and older who does not attend David Leech Elementary School is $27 and will include a T-shirt. Extra T-shirts will be sold for $10.

There will be a concession stand to benefit the elementary school PTA and Leechburg ASA Softball. To register by April 1, visit tinyurl.com/2yw2pemm.


MyHeritage research database available at Harrison library

The local history department at Community Library of Allegheny Valley, 1522 Broadview Blvd., Harrison, offers the use of the MyHeritage Research Database that includes billions of historical documents for nearly 50 countries, historical photographs, public records, indexes and more.

Free grocery items from Walmart and Aldi will be available. Everyone is welcome.

Today: Bingo will begin at 7:15 p.m. at the American Legion, 845 First Ave.

East Vandergrift  

Sunday : Our Lady, Queen of Peace Parish is selling raffle tickets for a half a cow and a $100 gift certificate to Anna’s Cucina Rustica in Vandergrift. Saturday: The Veterans of Foreign Wars and Auxiliary will sponsor a purse bash bingo from 1 to 4 p.m. at the post, 894 Veterans Drive. Doors open at 11 a.m. and lunch will be served at noon.
