Food bank seeking help for Easter distribution

Lower Valley Food Bank is accepting food donations through Wednesday to complete its upcoming Easter distribution.

Items needed include cream of mushroom soup, Jello, jam or jelly, fruit juice, assorted crackers and canned green beans. Donations can be dropped off in the bins at the School Street entrance to the Springdale borough building.

Kiski Area students to perform ‘The Phantom of the Opera’

The drama department of Kiski Area High School will perform “The Phantom of the Opera” at 7:30 p.m. today and 1 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the high school auditorium in Allegheny Township.

Summer nature camps planned for children

The Audubon Society of Western Pennsylvania will sponsor nature camps for children age 5 to 18 this summer.

Camps will be at Beechwood Farms Nature Reserve in Fox Chapel, Succop Nature Park in Penn Township, Butler County; and Buffalo Creek Nature Park in Buffalo Township.
