Back the Blue concert planned Sunday at Quality Inn
The Back the Blue Concert to benefit the family of fallen Brackenridge Police Chief Justin McIntire will begin at 1 p.m. Sunday in the Quality Inn ballroom, 300 Tarentum Bridge Road, New Kensington.
Doors open at noon. Steve Rohan from Bob FM will be the master of ceremonies. Bands scheduled to perform include the Murphy’s 56 East Band, the Hilltop Band, Five Alarm Flood, Lenny Collini 4Pak, Fabulous Gunslingers, the Shiners and Daphunk.
Tickets are $15 and will be sold at the door. Those attending must be at least 21. There will be a cash bar and food trucks.
Scouts to host flag retirement ceremony
Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts will have a flag retirement ceremony from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the pavilion of the Lower Burrell Veterans of Foreign Wars, Wildlife Lodge Road.
The public is welcome to bring their worn-out flags.
Five Forces veterans charity plans golf outing
A golf outing to benefit Five Forces veterans charity will begin at 8 a.m. June 24 at the Links at Spring Church, 3257 Balsinger Road, Kiski Township.
Cost is $90 and includes cart, 18 holes of golf, pastries, snack at the turn, meal after golf and a chance to win prizes.
