Animal Protectors offers community pet pantry
Animal Protectors of Allegheny Valley in New Kensington has a community pet pantry that offers free pet food to those in need.
Wet and dry dog and cat food is available. Stop in from noon to 6 p.m. and ring the doorbell at the backdoor of the shelter, 730 Church St., or call 724-339-7388.
Dumpster available for spring cleanup in Frazer
A Dumpster will be set up at the township maintenance building, 2129 Butler-Logan Road, for residents doing spring cleanup.
Residents can dispose of old furniture, wood and metal between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. April 5 through 11.
Anyone who uses the Dumpster must provide proof of township residency, such as a driver’s license. Tires, batteries, electronics, televisions and appliances with Freon will not be accepted.
