Donations welcome for Easter meals, treats

Allegheny Valley Association of Churches Food Bank is accepting donations that will be used to create specially prepared treat bags and a gift card to be used for the purchase of an Easter meal for our neighbors in need.

Each basket costs $15. Checks made out to AVAC Food Bank can be sent to AVAC, 1913 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights PA 15065. Donations will be acknowledged.

Volunteers welcome at Arnold clean-up event

Clockwise, a new screen printing and embroidery company in Arnold, will host a community clean-up from 9 a.m. to noon Friday on the streets around the shop, 511 14th St.

Volunteers are welcome and should meet at 9 a.m. at the shop. Bring gloves and a rake if possible. Volunteers will receive a free t-shirt and snacks and food will be served afterward.

Food distribution set for Friday

Harvest Church will host a free community food distribution at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the parking lot of Grace United Methodist Church, 1333 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights, Harrison.

Follow the signs to the rear of the building. Distribution will be non-contact and boxes will be loaded into your trunk. First come, first served, one box per household.
