Irish celebration to raise funds for recovery ministry
Addiction Recovery Ministry will host an Irish celebration event at 4:30 p.m. March 27 in the church hall at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 2599 Freeport Road, Harmar.
Local musician Mike Gallagher will perform and there will be Irish food and basket raffles.

Tickets on sale for Leechburg benefit spaghetti dinner
The Marconi Club in Leechburg will host a dine-in spaghetti dinner to benefit the medical expenses of Delores Lucjak from 1 to 4 p.m. March 6 in the club Mirror Room, 135 River Ave.
The menu will include spaghetti, salad and bread and there will be a cash bar and 50/50 raffle. Cost is $8 per plate and items from a dessert table will be available for $1 each. No takeout orders will be available.

Volunteers needed for prepare for Easter egg hunt
Vandergrift Public Library is seeking volunteers to help with the annual Easter egg hunt planned April 9.
Help is needed to stuff Easter eggs with candy during library hours and help set up on the day of the event. Students and adults are welcome.

VFW sponsors National Anthem singing contest
The Veterans of Foreign Wars is sponsoring a contest, “Get Excited for the Red White and Blue,” for students to sing, “The Star Spangled Banner.”
Students in kindergarten through 12th grade in any school district may enter and do not have to related to any VFW member or auxiliary member. Gift cards of $100, $200 and $300 will be awarded in two divisions. Video recordings should be uploaded to a flash drive or to an online platform. Arrangements can be a capella, backed with tracks or instruments and be of any genre. The words may not be changed. Deadline is March 16.
