Harrison girl plans food drive through March 24
Alexis Faltot of Natrona Heights, Harrison, is celebrating her 11th birthday by partnering with the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank by sponsoring a food drive through March 24 to help the hungry in our community.
Items most needed include canned fruit packed in 100 percent juice, low sodium vegetables, beans and soup; tuna and chicken; whole grain cereal, oats and pasta, peanut butter and paper products.
Donations can be taken to the following locations:
• MJ Cares, 1701 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights, Harrison.
• Community Market, 1710 Pacific Ave., Natrona Heights.
• Highland Tire, 1701 Broadview Blvd., and 1707 Freeport Road, both in Natrona Heights; and 200 Boyd St., Tarentum.

Lower Burrell Meals on Wheels seeking volunteers
Lower Burrell Meals on Wheels is seeking volunteers to help in the kitchen and make deliveries in Arnold, New Kensington and Lower Burrell.

Caring Cabinet opens in Oakmont
Oakmont United Methodist Church, 419 Maryland Ave., has a Caring Cabinet for those in need.
The cabinet contains canned goods and non-perishable food items. Take items as you need them and feel free to add items for others. Leave a prayer request inside for the church prayer group. For details, call the church at 412-828-9499.
St. Joseph High School offers virtual tax program
St. Joseph High School will present a virtual information session, “EITC/SPE – What Does It All Mean?” at 7 p.m. March 16 for businesses and individuals who want more information about the state programs that enable the direction of their taxes to private schools.
Registration is required. A Zoom link will be sent to registrants a few days prior to the event. Anyone who cannot attend the event can still receive an information packet. To register or receive an information packet, email jmacneil@saintjosephhs.com.
