Vintage clothing on display at Oakmont museum

Kerr Memorial Museum, 402 Delaware Ave., Oakmont, will display elegant fashions of the late 1800s to the Roaring ‘20s through the end of August at the museum.

Items on display were donated to the museum by the W. H. Brown Family of Pittsburgh. Hours are by appointment. Call 412-826-9295 to schedule a tour.


American Cancer Society seeks volunteer drivers

The American Cancer Society is looking for volunteers to drive cancer patients to treatment appointments.

Access to timely, high-quality treatment can often be a cancer patient’s largest roadblock to survival. The society’s Road to Recovery program fills the gap when friends and family are unable to help out.

March 16: A concert featuring the music of the late Patsy Cline will be at 2 p.m. at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 214 N. Pennsylvania Ave. Doors open at 1:30 p.m. Jazz singer Maggie Worsdale will sing Cline’s songs in a jazz/country style and share stories about her Cline’s life and career. March 17: St. James Parish is selling tickets for a Luck of the Irish lottery ticket raffle. Cost: $10, includes two three-digit numbers. Today: The Diaper Pantry at Christ Our Hope Anglican Church will distribute diapers from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church, 926 Painter Ave., and at Sheldon Park, both in Natrona Heights. Recipients must drive up and remain in their vehicles. First-time recipients must provide their own identification, the child’s birth certificate and a current WIC or SNAP card.

Tuesday: The Coffeehaus Teen Book Club will meet from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the library. Friday : Allegheny Valley Hospital Auxiliary is sponsoring a raffle for a Hilton Head, S.C., vacation. The prize includes seven nights in a condo either the week of June 30 to July 7, 2024 or Aug. 11 to 18, 2024 at Shelter Cove Harbor in Hilton Head. Meals and transportation not included. Tickets: $2 each or three for $5, cash and checks accepted. Tickets will be sold from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday and Friday in the hospital main lobby, 1301 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights.
