Monthly food truck event planned in East Vandergrift

East Vandergrift Community Foundation, a non-profit formed to support community and educational initiatives, will sponsor its first Food Truck Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday on Chambers Street in the borough.

There will be food vendors, beer, music, a raffle and an opportunity to socialize. The event will be held the second Friday of each month through October.

Comedy fundraiser to benefit Robin’s Home charity

A night of comedy to benefit non-profit Robin’s Home will be May 20 at American Legion, 150 Legion Memorial Lane, Butler.

Doors open at 5 p.m. and dinner will be at 6. The show begins at 7 p.m. and will feature comedians Teresa Logan, Quinn Patterson and David Kaye. Tickets are $40 and include dinner. Robin’s Home provides care for homeless, unstably housed and low-income female veterans and their children in Butler, Armstrong, Allegheny, Clarion, Erie, Lawrence and Mercer counties.
